Primero HK3967 Loader Multipurpose loader that can be mounted on trailers or on the 3-pt hitch of a farm tractor.
The Primero line of forest equipment is targeted to the requirements of the part-time contractors. The Primero line includes many features that are usually only found in equipment designed for professional users. Such features are: a single beam frame, which enables the bogie and the stake frames to be moved to a desired position. The trailer has hydraulic steering, which means that it has a side-shift feature which enables the operator to side-shift the tongue on the run. That feature enables the trailer to follow in the tracks of the tractor. The side shift can also be used to make sharper turns. By side-shifting the tongue, one can also move the loader out, for longer reach. The rotation torque for the boom is an enormous 9.5 kNm, which is rarely found even on professional equipment of the same size. This great turning power comes from four cylinders and four racks on the turning mechanism. The turning mechanism has other features usually only found on professional machines, such as roller bearings. All joints have grease fittings, and every joint has a bronze bushing.
The loader is available with "A" frame outriggers or with folding outrigger legs. The folding outriggers have a wide stance, approximately 10 and a half feet, adding stability to the loader so it can be used on uneven terrain. The wide tires contribute to stability, and, together with the floating tandem bogies, reduce ground pressure, and thus enable the trailer to be used in soft and bumpy terrain. The Primero loaders can also be mounted on the three point hitch of farm tractors over 50 HP. The Primero 9000 trailer has a headboard screen, three sets of stake frames, and hydraulic steering of the drawbar with two cylinders. The loaders have joystick valves and four cylinders on the boom rotation, which are features typical of professional models. The four cylinders devide the stress to both sides of the pinion. The actual stress on the turning mechanism is less than on a two cylinder turning device. The Primero trailers come equipped with three form optimized stakes. The stakes can move inside the stake pocket. If the stakes are run into a tree, they can turn and swing in the stake pocket, thus preventing the trailer from becoming stuck, and reducing risk of damage to the trailer.
